At times,  sustainable seafood seems more difficult to find than sustainable meat. It takes a lot of research - how the fish is caught, what season is it caught, and what is the current state of that fish stock? Well, we’re happy to do the research for you. Captain Phil brings our seafood twice a week from the docks of Harkers Island. He pays the fishermen 15% more than market price, and because of the shop’s (and your) flexibility, we never ask the fishermen to fish out-of-season or for threatened species. We think this is not only necessary to preserve the wild and amazing abundance of the ocean, but we also hope to contribute to a sustainable fishing future here in North Carolina. Our supply will be limited- but we’ll take fresh, sustainable, and affordable fish any day of the week- and we hope you agree!
